
Dengue Cases Continue to Rise in Sindh
Daily update shows increased infections but no reported deaths
Dengue Situation Update in Sindh
The Directorate General of Health Sindh has released the latest daily update on the dengue situation, confirming a steady rise in new cases across the province. Despite increasing infections, officials reassured the public that no dengue-related deaths have been reported.
According to the report:
- Government hospitals admitted 42 new dengue patients.
- Private hospitals recorded 39 new cases.
This brings the total number of hospitalized dengue patients to 82 across Sindh.
City-Wise Breakdown
- Karachi Division: 21 new admissions in government hospitals.
- Hyderabad: 11 new hospital admissions.
Recoveries also remained strong:
- 64 patients discharged from government hospitals.
- 46 patients discharged from private hospitals.
Health officials confirmed that no dengue-related fatalities have occurred in any district.

Testing and Positivity Rates
A total of 3,472 individuals were tested for dengue across both government and private facilities.
Out of these samples, 245 tested positive.
Main hotspots:
- Karachi: 104 confirmed dengue cases
- Hyderabad: 141 confirmed dengue cases
The Directorate General of Health Sindh noted that these two cities continue to account for the majority of dengue activity in the province.

Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant, pursue timely testing, and follow dengue prevention guidelines. The provincial healthcare system continues to prioritize surveillance, early detection, and proper care for all dengue patients across Pakistan.
